Ed: April 29, 2009 - Thanks to all the nominees. The application is now closed. We will be notifying successful candidates in the coming weeks.
The MacEnterprise Board of Directors is now accepting nominations for new members. We are looking for individuals from a cross section of the industry to work with us. Each board member is expected to hold office for a period of at least three years, and be an active member of the MacEnterprise community. The positions are purely volunteer, and it is expected that some time is required from board members on a monthly basis for regularly scheduled meetings and for contributions to the MacEnterprise website and members mailing list.
We are looking for two kinds of nominations from the community:
1) Community members nominating themselves for the board.
2) Community members nominating other members for the board.
All nominees will be contacted to ensure they are willing to serve on the board. Each nomination will be individually considered and voted on by the current board of directors based on the individuals potential merit to the group as a whole. The board aims to represent a cross-section of the Mac Enterprise IT community, including but not limited to the following areas: commercial companies, higher education, K-12 education and independent consultants.
Volunteering with MacEnterprise is a great way to help give back to the community. We look forward to providing more value to the community with future seminars, webcasts and other innovative collaborative technologies, and plan to offer services like community code review for popular scripting languages.
In order to accomplish these goals we need your help. Please note that being a board member is not the only way to be actively involved with the MacEnterprise community. We will be needing volunteers to assist with the upcoming code review service and other planned projects.
